My room was high standard and nicely decorated on the lower floors, had smoke detectors for safety measures. Location: the hotel was short walk to ferry terminal as well as the public areas. Had nice dainties at Stone Town Cafe, located close to the property...

I was impressed with the tasteful decor and inviting entrance. The staff were friendly and always were very good too ensure my comfort. One particular highlight was the shuttle service they arranged for me from the airport, making my arrival seamless. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, with the added bonus of a fridge to keep cool in the hot Stone Town weather. But what stood out was the attention to detail - every evening, someone would come and prepare the bed, drawing the curtains and mosquito nets, creating a cozy and peaceful sleep environment. Salum and Hijja, in particular, made me feel welcome and remembered my name, greeting me with genuine enthusiasm. Their helpfulness extended even beyond my stay, as they assisted me in adjusting my trip plans. I am already looking forward to returning to this wonderful hotel again.

The hotel is well-located and easily accessible via public transportation. The breakfast buffet selection is decent and fills you up for the day ahead. A plus point is the friendly housekeeping staff who greets you every day with a smile and ensures your room is well-maintained.
The hotel itself is extremely outdated with broken furniture, peeling paint, and outdated facilities. The lack of refurbishment reflects in the worn-out linens and musty smell in the rooms.
